scgs got gold for syf! haha.. i heard that they missed gold with honours by just a few points yar! not bad right? its the first time sc band had gold! by the way, do you have any idea how to check the results for syf online?

ahhhhhhhhhh sji got silver!! although i manged to play my solo well,but the dude beside was flat,so it sounded horrible.and we also made many other mistaked which we are not supposed to make!

tips for bands going for sfy
1.do not sqeak.
2.do no play instruments in the waiting room( 5 marks deducted for each sound produced)
3.smile
4.don screw up ur solo
5.use as much air as possible
6.do not vibrato unless u're a soloist
7.recover fast when u make a mistake or u're dead
8.enjoy ur music and move(u get points for showmenship)
9.don play into the stand
10.and of course!!! play ur pieces properly

just finished tagging in my own blog! ok.. i watched the video taken during the student grand concert again! so in total, thrice i guess.. its really fascinating how some people are like that good! their fingers can move really fast! hmm.. so cool!

solo on the euphonium? that's so cool! anyway, what do you think your sch's band will get for syf this year?
i'm quite worried bout handbells cos there's still some problems with our jazz song yup! hope we can get either silver or gold! haha.. of course gold would be preferred considering that we have wasted so much money hiring outside instructors! haha.. that's all~

SYF next monday.i will be playing a EUphonium solo...i volunteered to play euphnium because the current euphonium section sucks!! luckily,i will be switching back to trumpet after this SYF :)

oh.. talking bout the order that our handbells choir gonna perform on syf.. haha we are the last item! whoa.. hope the judges can remember us better because of this yar! well, we are performing 2 songs.. and we are supposed to bounce to the songs! manx.. the timing was super mixed up while we were trying to bounce, play and smile and at the same time!
well, my sch's having sports day tomorrow at tp stadium! im sort of marching for the class but erm.. i cant remember the malay commands! die already.. i guess i'll just smile throughout the whole thing and follow what others are doing! haha hope they can remember too or else it will be super embarrassing! haha that's all! enjoy tagging~

if u love ur violin and ur bow,then remember to take care of it!! check out http://rosebud.150m.com/ViolinCare.html this site has complete guide on instrument care.remember that a large change in temperature is bad bad bad for ur violin!!especially when u're using gut-core string which is prone to heat changes and may go out of tune!!i m sure u dont want that to happen if u're performing that day.<> <---- remember this

They have all types of rosins.The one 1 recommend is the PIRASTRO'S GOLD ROSIN.cost around $10 but it's pretty good.it's made for soloist wif a little bit of gold added in to "refine" the sound to make it clearer/cleaner and purer.
